great work russel, sounds like you packed a fair bit there. i managed to source why my locks are not working disabling the use of that lock and had a go at destroying and temporarily legalizing my wing, it just fell apart seeing as someones already played with plod on it! not much action really. ;D

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Be prepared for scenes like this : But no - in all seriousness, rebuilding the master cylinder is a doddle, just be careful with the rubbers, use some lube on 'em as supplied (fnaar fnaar ;D). Worth checking the bore and the cylinder as well to check if it's excessively worn or scored, if it is I'd be dubious about using it but hopefully yours'll be fine!

didnt get chance today (forgot all about it!) just ordered a repair kit for it anyway. you about next sat seth? Can't do Saturday unfortunatly Russell. Lewis's photo and post pretty sums it up. Just make sure you put the seal on the right way round so when you put it back together the larger cupped bit of the seal goes in to the bore first. If you put it the wrong way round you end up with fluid everywhere.....

You can get a little honing tool that doesn't cost all that much to do the cylinder bore with. I did that on the wheel cylinders etc on my '62 bluebird and so far they've been perfect. Good effort on the motor BTW
