When I removed the worn carbs from the new engine and fitting my clean mikuni 40 sidedraughts I found connected to... nothing. It was free to the atmosphere. Its on one carb only and i have no idea what it does. I don't want it to spill fuel all over something or suck curse word into the engine. Here it is: HELP!!!!

Maybe fuel return. Got no idea. It just had an inch long piece of tubing on it when i took the carbs of the car.
Looks a bit thin for a fuel return. Some kind of vacuum feed?

The fuel return usually is thinner than the main fuel pipe.... but could be a vacuum, have you got one going to the dizzy if it has a vacuum advance? Edited because i'm still half asleep
