Rarer than a rare thing. Am I right in thinking the early Stellars stole some bits from Cortinas or Sierras? I helped out in a garage in the early 90s and one of the blokes there had a scruffy (despite its lack of age) D plate one, which was about 50 shades of metallic blue. He loved the thing and was always praising it. In the meantime, they seem to have all but vanished.

Stellars were basically rebodied Cortinas with Mitsi engines, although later ones had different front crossmembers and ran struts instead of double wihbones.

I was thinking they wouldn't have been sold in the US. Probably rarer than most Porsche.

i run a gsl 1.6 on a g reg as my daily! bought of a fellow rr member.
shes been a cracking motor, being a later one though, its on hyundai struts and i think in the end finding spares for these or a whiney 3rd gear may kill her of.
However much they look like a big lump, they drive better than a standard cortina, the axel stays where it should under load, and she runs better in the cold than my mk5 ever did!
there are a few left, dvla says 12, but i know of 2 in bolton/manchester aswell as mine,so unless boltons a stellar hot spot, there are a few survivors.
