Well I won some wheels of eBay this week and went to collect them today. I only bid on them cos they were 5 miles away according to eBay, but they didn't take into account the Thames being in my way, so a 10 mile round trip turned into a 120 miles round trip to Essex! Bah! Anyways when I got to the sellers place my disappointment of a long journey was soon forgotten as I was confronted by this little lot. Unrestored Corvair! Turns out the seller owns an import business specializing in J and Yank motors. As well as these few there were loads of Mustangs, Skylines a couple of 800bhp 300zx's and loads more. I got talking to him about importing old cars from Japan (following on from Rmad's christmas Yahoo Auction thread), and apparantly he can get pretty much anything you want. He's got a load of agents based out in Japan who can check out specific cars, or search for anything you're after. Don't know if it'd be of use to anyone? I think I've also pretty much been converted into getting an R32 Skyline. Is that wrong?! ;D

What's that based on? It doesn't look like an original bus somehow (interior/wipers etc...J?) R32's are nice!!

Next thing you'll be havin strict touge battles on the way to work vs. Johnny So Solid ;D That's if I can get a word out of him! ;D I think I've also pretty much been converted into getting an R32 Skyline. Is that wrong?! ;D Only if it's not a GTR. So......have you got a contact or something for this guy who can import stuff then? I was quite tempted by a GTS-T he had in. A rare 4 door manual, so still totally practical. The way I see it, it'd have the same running costs as my Passat, but will be cheaper to insure and I'd have a couple of grand left over if I sold my car. The numbers at mine (I'm at my g/f now), but if you're interested I can send you it later?

That guy appears to be living the life I am always planning, but never actually managing.
Don't you just hate the Thames sometimes? I think, according postcode-based store locators most Lakeside stores are closer to me than their equivalent in Bluewater - and I only live 1 minute from Bluewater.

Yep, all my nearest stores are in Southend according to most locators, only a 90 mile drive each way.

Maybe you guys should look at setting up some kind of eBay-cross-thames-shipping-effort. ;D
