So, I've been hunting for more pictures / info on this for quite a while so far, and pretty much failed. Still, inspired by RobinXR4i's Maserati thread I think this deserves a post, even if its only one picture. Anyone with better JGoogle skills than me find anything? All I have is a couple of Minkara blogs using a picture of the front. All I know is that its owned by Daigo Saito and was on the same stand as this Aristo at this year's Tokyo Auto Salon: Right, off to see what else I can find on the roof chopped electric powered Wiz Concept Beetle that was at TAS too...

Take the badge off the bonnet, and I'd struggle to tell you what it is.
It may be wrong, but you gotta admire the bravery of whacking aftermarket alloys and stretched tyres on a Ferrari.

Is it really a 'drift' Ferrari? I'd sure like to see some evidence ;D

if it is a drifter i bet it spends more time in bits than it does being driven . looks better than a stock one though

Apparently the 456 is one of the most reliable Ferraris because the engine is understressed (it makes about a hundred more horsepower in a 550), and the front-mounted V12 isn't as hard to maintain as the mid-mounted V8s... I've seen one on leboncoin with 133,000km, which is about 4 times the average Ferrari mileage!
I really like it stock even though the ride height isn't right, but this one really is something else ;D

There was a 550 being converted to drift spec in Sweden some years ago. It was being fitted with a BMW V8, sadly the owner emigrated and abandoned the project i believe. rejsa.nu/forum/viewtopic.php?t=25699

I agree that the 456 is best looking Ferrari of recent years. Not in red though. NOMNOM. Infact, these and the 400 series are the only Ferraris' that I would entertain ownership of one day. Also, we need action shots of this 456 posthaste...

I took the liberty of having the text on the sign translated. Nothing about the Ferrari...

Yep that floats my boat, I've always liked the 456 something about the front engine rear drive setup of a GT car makes it seem more like a fast posh daily than a brake down every 5 minute supercar. Glad to see the red one redresses the problems that most cars have ride height and small over tyred wheels in a weak offset. Looks epic IMO! If it's an actual drift car I'd love to see it in action, in the meantime have a photo of a DB7 skidding at Santa Pod. Owned by a guy on Drift Works... ^^^this would work so well with the same treatment!

Sierra - here we go again! He has an illness, it's not his fault.

DB7 skidder! Very cool. I bet it sounded better than ANYTHING else out there too. Obviously no wall tapping though.

Ive seen db7's up for sale at 16k, seem quite reasonable for a VIP drift car.

It's only just been finished but Daigo Saito has confirmed he will be taking it out on track and using it in anger, just not in competition.
