One year on from our wedding, we are planning a proper "road trip" honeymoon travelling across northern europe and taking in the 2CV World Meeting in Sweden at the end of July. We've got up to five weeks travelling time. We should take our 2CV but want something that we can kip in. So, we want one of these! Note the 2CV headlamps and indicators - the H van is regarded as an honorary 2CV despite the fact that it shares more in common with the Traction Avant. 3 speed gearbox, plodding diesel engine and 50mph is about as fast as it'll want to go. But that isn't the point is it? Should we do it? Should we give it a crazy paint job?

YES! and No. (In that order) Grey H-Van with some lovely 60's-esque signwriting (faux-patina'd, naturally), maybe bigging-up you business. Can't go wrong like that.

Do it, the money you'll save on hotels will make up for the added expense of buying it*
(*A lie)
But no crazy paint job for me, as Pog says, some nice sign writing and 1400 grade wet and dry patination. My old auto Mk1 Transit only did 50mph, I never really noticed it and you get there just as quick*
(*A lie)

Hmm well you already drive 2cv so its already not scary or too slow for you so do it! you know what to look for i imagine, plus its bound to keep its worth.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

to recap then: EVEN BIGGER YES!!!!!!!!!! also, keep in grey, buuuuuuuuuuuuut: get it marked everywhere you go. either with stickers like a suitcase, or get it graffitti'd in each location with distinct territorial tags, or collect licence plates on the road from each area FTmakingeveryonejealousW

H vans are cool and to travel through Europe in one would be so good...imagine how many toys you can bring back ! Do it and then tell the kids later on about the adventure !!!
