Can any of you guys tell me if this engine would fit a Vauxhall Ventora? Opel Monza up for grabsIt's a long way from me but if anyone has any experience of these conversions it would be well worth the trip. Thanking you in advance

No idea, but getting it back up so it doesn't fall off the radar as I reckon it sounds like a winning idea. Anybody? Fry?

As far as I remember the Ventora/Cresta manual box wasn't the strongest...my dad had a '68 PC in the late '70's with a four-speed floor-change manual and had all sorts of problems with it...so I'd be tempted to swap both engine AND box if it was me, would make for an interesting project....and as Bryn says, if it's gratis then surely it's worth saving, even if it involves a roadtrip??? :-)

The Opel engine will not fit the Ventora gearbox.
The Opel engine is a very tight fit in the FD and will not fit the FE easily. When Vauxhall did a prototype FE Ventora with the Opel engine they stretched the front of the car & the engine bay by about 6"
I have seen a FD Ventora with the Opel six in it, looked very tight and speaking to the owner it was nto a straight forward swap.
The same amount of effort you go to you could put a small block Chevy in the car...
