I like those metal (alloy?) accelerator pedals you see on VW Campers sometimes that look like a big foot, where do you get those I wonder? try big boys toys if you want one. naff. one of the things i really hate about the aircooled dub scene. but thats just me.

Only cool in a beach buggy or similar check! my floors black now. and clean! these actually make the accelerator pedal easier to press in a beetle since the area of its bigger. youd need to be pretty "special" to miss it!

Ebay them....... First time you drive the car with wet shoes you`ll realise why.... B1oody things are lethal not even sure if the Halfrauds Tooning places are even allowed to sell them any more..... I think most of the "styling" ones now have rubber bits as well for grip If you want the real race feel and grip, you need to get down to your local skateboard emporium ;D Far far better ;D

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

I put a set of these onto my old Anglia because the original rubber pedals were worn through to the metal beneath and new/old pedal rubbers were/are like poor quality wobbly children's play pony curse word to get hold of.The larger accelerator pedal made driving much better as the original one was tiny and was easily missed.

right, there is a reall reason for these in motorsport, you can get your whole foot on the pedal, you can also heal and toe easier, also, with rubber covers on small pedals, if you have to get out of the car in a forrest and you have all mud and curse word on your feet, you may slip off the pedal, where as the bigger ones you should not.
Defo good thing to buy!

i remember i failed an mot for having bare metal pedals (i took the rubber bits off the stock pedals). the bloke said to me something like they had to be designed to be metal to pass. thats for the brake and clutch anyway. i think the accelerator can be anything.

Just the brake pedal needs some kind of anti slip surface, rubber, textured metal, etc.
Skateboard grip tape is very good for pedals.

We once had a beetle with a skateboard wheel on the accelorator in at a garage I used to work at. Bit peculiar at first with it rotating under your foot but after a while I got used to it, it was actually quite comfortable!
