Due to change of plan I am selling my BMW 535i (e28) Genuine FSH and excellent condition for year. Runs and drives without fault. Will cruise effortlessly at 100mph+ where laws allow. Cruise control fitted as per full SE spec. Interior is lovely with no wear anywhere, including seat bolsters. PAS Cruise control Computer Sports auto box CD player & leccy aerial Rear blind Arm rests Rare genuine Mtec alloys & legal tyres (I don't like trx but they've got good tread) All new brakes throughout and mechanically A1. The paint could do with a mop and the rear bumper, although in VGC, has a dent in it where was hit by a careless driver. The wings, doors and wheel arches are all perfect with no rust. This has to be one of the nicest 535i out there that doesn't have a £5k price tag attached to it. It even has tax & MOT for a few months! View / collect from Kingston / Sutton or can be delivered for around £1.10 per mile. £1000 cash. (NO OFFERS!) I will take more photos tomorrow but these will give you a taster. Lots of history!

I think the OP knows what he is doing around old BMWs? I suspect the astute seller has realised what all sellers are going to have to work out eventually - that the only bottom end classic stuff that sells just now is the really good or the really cheap. The only cars that sell quickly are the really good ones that are really cheap.
Evidenced by the fact that this is sold and the OP has £1000 in his pocket. Advertised at £2000, it would have attracted some interest and sold for £1500 - £1800 in a few weeks/months.
It's all about the cash flow.

Buyer collected and drove off happy. I would rather sell at a slightly cheaper price and not suffer haggling, being let down, messed about etc etc. I won't go into details but I was paid to do the repairs by insurance company. Instead, I kept the cash and sold the car for what it owed me. That way, I get to pass on some good fortune to the new owner. A bit of good karma never hurt anyone. Added to which I could never have sold the repaired car for what the insurance & sale price totalled.

Hi Mark,
Great to meet you, many thanks for being so helpful. I've been messed around by sellers a bit myself over the past month, so it's really good to deal with a decent bloke for a change; restoring the balance and all that.
Cheers,
Rob
