Whats not to like here,old style,modern mechanicals.Well executed,well thought out.Win all around.
Always thought similar solution in a 1300GT would work,or the 1.5 diesel from the Rover 100 series.

There was a chap fitting one of these engines onto an Imp gearbox a while back,he had the bellhousing welded to fit but then sold the car, Awesome build mate,keep up the good work.

Festool! <3 The Festool is getting more love than the car Top tip! I have the same saw, and cut my material on old pieces of Kingspan. The blade doesn't even know its there and its very stable so the material doesn't move about. Best bit is its usually offcuts from jobs, so free Your car is fantastic as well of course. Really loving how this is turning out!!

Yep, Festool you have to pay for it but it works great! never regretted it The clutch mechanism will probably work ... The construction under the hood looks pretty hilarious though ;D I made a start with the exhaust. I'm using the Aygo muffler and some universal piping. No idea where this project ends, but for now at least it has greatly improved my welding skills

Meanwhile I've been busy with constructing something that eventually start to look like an exhaust! (i'm exhausted :lol: )

Excellent project, loving it! Makes a nice change from seeing another bike engined one. Would love to do something similar with the new Fiat Twinair engine when they are a bit cheaper.
