EXTERIOR
This amazing 2CV is finished in an original colour combination unique to the Dolly model of Green and White. A stunning car to look at with a brilliant glossy shine it causes a fantastic response from onlookers! Structurally perfect and still wearing all the factory supplied panels and original chassis. All the correct Dolly decals are present and the ‘Important oil change every 10,000km’ stickers are still visible on the front screen. The vehicle still has the original supplying Citroen Dealer number plate’s front and rear and the winter grille muff. There are some small stone chips on the bonnet. A new hood has been fitted. A true joy.
INTERIOR
The interior of this Dolly is in remarkable condition. The grey seat diamond shape material is undamaged along with all the other trim material. The switches, gauges and warning lights are all fully operational. The floor is still protected by the original Citroen rubber over-mats. Factory stickers still remain such as tyre pressure limits on door edge. The Dealer fitted Matsui Radio/Cassette player operates. The boot floor is spotless under the tailor made carpet and the jack, starting handle and wooden block are still present. Delightful.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Having covered very few miles this 2CV Special is in prime mechanical condition. It drives wonderfully with the 2 cylinder 602cc 28bhp engine pulling strongly. The column gear change is like no other car today and is guaranteed to put a big smile on your face!
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Correct steel wheels with bright chrome hub-caps support Michelin X 125 R15 tyres up front and new Firestone F560 125 R15 tyres at the rear. The spare has been used. The vehicle stops quickly and in a straight line with the inboard disc brakes giving precise and positive feel.
HISTORY FILE
Supplied new on the 2nd June 1989 by G.T Cars, the Main Citroen Dealers in Leicester, to a Miss K.S Begley who enjoyed the car up to April 1992 before long term custodian Mr Turner took ownership for 20 years. Ownership passed to his Nephew in August 2012 followed by a Citroën fanatic who lovingly re-commissioned the car after little use, this beautiful example is now ready for its new keeper to cherish.
All the original manuals including the Citroen 2CV6 Owner’s Manual, the Maintenance Booklet with some stamps and the Corrosion Guarantee booklet all still contained in the white Citroen folder.
The car has 12 months MOT and is HPI clear. An Approved Used Car Check along with a full service has just been carried out. A collection of old tax discs are included.
