I assume not a millionty pounds. Correct! Went for less than 3 figures. In other news, seen some 155 Konis with Eibach springs in the classifieds on here and considering cancelling the coilies. Would save me a bit of cash, but not adjustable, not stainless and not brand new. Would be nice to be able to wind them down now and then We'll see if he answers my pm.

How right you are Qwerty, I must be getting old!
Cheap coilovers would ride curse word, so i thought the Koni + Eibach combo would be a better bet, plus they would save me cash. Having said that I'm still under 40 (quiet at the back) and need coilovers in my life. Thanks for setting me straight Dude, I don't know what came over me!
Still tempted to cancel the order just to give my business to someone else to be honest, but they were cheaper than anywhere else including FK and as a result of my order have put their prices up.

Hmmm you tried DPM Performance? He uses a lot of forums and if you're registered on one of the forums he normally discounts.
Got the APs on my Audi for a decent price.

Martin, you can't be that far from the big four zero! Seriously though, would you ever adjust the coilovers once fitted? If you needed coilovers to set the chassis up on a heavily modded car or did a lot of track work then I'd say that coilovers are worth the expense. It's a lot of money to spend when the Koni/Eibach combination would probably give a better ride and handling compromise on the road. Get your sensible head on, if you can find it!

Accusing me of being old and then telling me to be sensible in the same post will not work I'm young and err.. feral? And therefore need coilovers. Also it would be nice to set it really low for RRG and the like and then back up for the winter. Also I'm young. But yeah I know you're right hence me considering it in the first place, the extra cash would sort out the Polo too. Anyway, sensible people don't usually buy 16 year old Alfas as daily drivers and have a VW Polo as a fun weekend car.

Great car I used to have a 2.0TS 155 widebody and it was lovely. I swapped it for a 156 V6. This is not mine but identical.

I like those wheels. Would they fit on the Multipla? My snow tyres are on the wheels it came with, which are alfa ones like yours. I'd like some nicer wheels for the summer tyres...

GUESS WHAT!!! Err no. Still no coilovers. I've not wanted to expose the name of the company I bought from till now since I'm a fair guy and actually I wanted to sing their praises. But no, don't bother buying anything from Venom Motorsport dot com, they have completely pi$$ed me about now for nearly 4 weeks. So this morning, after never ever hearing anything from them after paying for them 25 days ago, I thought I'd give them a ring. "Uh yeah, we'll have to call you back." Okay, fair enough. So 4 hours later and still no call, I called them again. The verdict: "We're not sure, they left Germany last week so they might be here tomorrow" Well thanks for that guys. I'm not really asking for much here, your confirmation email says: " Products that we have in stock are despatched [spelled wrong] within 24 hours of ordering and usually received within 2-3 working days. Special order items may take 2-3 weeks to arrive. Please contact us if you need to confirm your delivery date." So I had to guess that my order was "special" then when it goes over 3 weeks all I want is a phone call or an email. I understand if your supplier is messing you about, but I just want to be given the impression that you care - just a little. Either that or you could change the message to: "Even after 3 and a half weeks we wont have a clue."[/rant] Sorry about that, had to get that off my chest. Everything else gets delivered so quickly these days, I was hoping it'd be 1 or 2 weeks. In other news, I now have lower control arms (ordered just the other day - thanks very much ziggy-a2z of Motorfactors Dewsbury) which come with balljoints and bushes - although obviously the polybushes will replace those. The polybushes (inc arb ones) are currently sitting in the freezer at the Auto Bahn waiting for Venom to sort their broken promise out. Let's hope I get them by Saturday. Also I replaced the indicator relay over the weekend but it seems to have done nothing. The indicator ticking is still happening when I'm not indicating. It's an intermittent thing but it seems to be loosely related to where the steering wheel is pointing. The ticking sound is actually made inside the relay (presumably using magic), but after replacing it, the new one does it too. My guess is the switch next? Anyone else had this? Bad earth maybe? Ideas appreciated.

They're generally OK for any of the VAG stuff as most of it is kept on the shelves. It's the non-VAG stuff that takes forever because it isn't stocked. Then again neither is it at most other places and generally turns up a lot quicker than when Venom deal with it.

I so miss my 155, 1.8 wide body, 8 valve. Handled like nothing I have had before. Good luck with yours and ignore the uneducated doubters. 20 years having older Alfas as my daily car and rarely a problem
