Hi All, My mate has got a set of wheels spare that came with his BMW E30 when he bought it, don't think he's ever actually used them on the car and they've been stored for a year or so. He's losing his storage space so they need to go really - anyone know what they're worth? They are 17 inch Alpina replicas with four good (two matching pairs) of 215/40/17 tyres. All centre caps are present. Pretty sure they will be 4x100 PCD for the E30 (?), not sure on the offset but could find out. Unfortunately the previous owner has done a bit of scuffing/kerbing them by the looks of things, I have more close up pics if required, never actually seen the wheels myself as my mate lives down South. I'm sure they could be re-furbed, or just used as they are. Pics: Any ideas on value? Cheers Stu

should go for more than that, even though they are only replicas. the 17ness of the rIMZZZZzzzZ means you can gets more for them.

Where doon soof does he live? I'd give him 150 for em, need to raise the corrado, without actually raising it... Need to know offset and width first though.

I paid £270 for mine, two and a bit years ago. That was fairly top dollar, but they did come on 4 brand new tyres. Their stock has fallen a little because there are lots of 'haters' on e30zone, where anything that isn't a 325iSport in Dolphin Grey with black leather and clear lenses, rollin' on BBS X-spokes is derided. I have never had any issues with these wheels particularly. £250 would be a good start

Cheers all Phil - he lives in Fleet, not sure he'd take £150 though, will ask. Pog - £250 ono sounds more like a good price, know what you mean about the E30Zone, wasn't sure if to suggest advertising the wheels there or not? Are BMW bits subject to 'scene tax' @ 1000% like some VW bits? As such these wheels may not be in fashion this week so worth less, who knows? Jonny - Proper car? Do you mean one with a funny propshaft and no front wheel drive? That pic has me thinking that these wheels would look nice on an older car actually, perhaps still a Beemer though, maybe a 1602/2002 or something? Where's a good place to advertise the wheels, aside from this site of course? Is E30zone the main Beemer one?

I would be inclined just to stick them on the bay, that's where they seem to make the best moolah. In fact I have a 'regular client' of Bavarian tat who would most likely bite your hand off for them.... let me know and I'll see what I can do

don't advertise on the e30zone. they are from my experience the biggest load of fannies ever when it comes to buying stuff, you will just get messed about, or offered a pittance.
yeh on the e30zone things suffer a scene tax. my genuine alpinas were flavour of the week, but now they have all reverted back to beating off over BBS x-spokes i cant shift my alpinas for what they are worth. tossers.

Cheers Nick and Pog, though that might be the case re: E30zone unfortunately. Pog - I'll ask my mate what kind of price he's expecting and if you could pass details on to your man that'd be handy, might save putting them on ebay if he interested and wants to buy directly? Obviously I'll stick an ad on here when I've sorted a price and RetroRider's can have first dibs Edit: I wonder how they'd look on any of my cars...? The offset may not be VW compatible and perhaps a little modern and large for the Mk1? Just an idea...

Probably very good, though liek you say there may be offset issues. They are available new with a FWD-frindly offset (38mm I believe), and I have seen some on a Mk4 Astravan to good effect. Also there is a Escort RS1600i out there rolling on gold ones.... looks ACE. Not that this really helps you much

I've been in touch with my mate and he's happy for me to advertise the wheels on his behalf. I'll go for £250 ono and see what offers I get, will put an ad in the 'classifieds' now ;D Pog - could you ask your man if he fancies them and drop me a line if he does? I've got more high-res pics if they are required
