The dishes on my splits have taken a bit of a battering. Someones decided to kerb the f out of them and then take a file to smooth it all down to form a square edge. The rest of the dishes are fine, its just the lips that are fubared.
Thats not the main problem, the actual lips of the dishes are dented in places, so they're not perfectly circular.
I'm guessing it would be possible to build the lip up again using a tig welder and then smooth it off to form a round edge.
But how would I go about making the lips perfectly circular again?
I have access to a machine shop so I was thinking sticking the whole wheel in a lathe and mounting a piece of nylon or aluminium bar in the tool post to pull it out/in and make it round?
The wheels in question:
Thanks guys!
