I'l start off by saying i'm stripping this, so if anyone's after anything, let me know via PM!
Right, cut a long story short, i'm 17, always been a fan of drifting, and since i passed my test, and drove a 3.0 RWD Mk1 Granada in the wet, i've been addicted to going sideways ever since...anyway, engine blew up on that, which left me using a little 1.1 Mk1 Fiesta, so i needed something to have some fun in...after a bit of luck from 'word of mouth', i was told 'there's a 340 shell next door'...arranged to go and see it the next day, and completely fell in love, solid as a rock, cheap enough, and retro as hell....so 3 hours later, it was mine. It's begging for a decent engine...but that'll happen as/when time and funds allow.
It's already got adjustable spax dampers on the back, and some of the front suspension is polybushed, which is a good start, i'm going to see some wellers tomorrow, and i should be getting a few hundred quid within the next month to throw at it..so all is good!
The plans are ; strip it, sell the bits i don't need, and use the money to fund new parts that i DO need, as with me only being 17 (bearing in mind i'm paying £3800 insurance), i need to keep costs to a minimum..
A part of me doesn't want me to drift it, because it really is a bloody clean shell under that grime/muck/oil/curse word...but the other half of me is shouting 'get the diff welded and go have some fun!'
Anyway, i'll shut up and let the pictures do the talking! There isn't many, but i'll get more tomorrow when it gets delivered!
I'm not promising any big updates any time soon, but i'll update as and when...
Any information on engines/powaarrrrr would be appreciated, i've been told clio williams and reanult 5 turbo engines basically bolt straight in, but a 1700 turbo lump is also tempting, as i'm not looking to spend alot on it if i can help it...yet...
