My Triumph 2000 has lowered front suspension, by about 1.5 inches.
Will the standard settings for tracking still work?
It's a MacPherson strut system.
Hopefully some one on this forum may know the answer ;D
Thanks

That depends on primarily two things;
1) purpose the car is intended for and, frankly, 2) how involved you want to get.
Tracking, meaning "toe", could be set to factory specs and it would almost certainly be ok ie; driveable with acceptable tyre wear. Camber may or may not cause problems but that can be more complicated to adjust if the factory didn't bother. If you wanted to go racing, or just a fast road/track day set-up, you'd want something different to factory specs depending how you want the car to behave.
Also, with camber & castor, it's almost certainly impossibile to get them to standard positions with the car so much lower without some extensive reworking with either custom fabrication or off-the-shelf, replacement, adjustable parts.
You'd have to decide if the cost of such work is worth the possibile cost of running through tyres faster than normal.

My Stag is on stock settings as far as the tracking goes and that drives fine with no signs of strange tyre wear etc. A friend has a Mk1 PI on the same setup as my car (but on KYB dampers) and his car drives very well too! If you do feel the need to get adjustable lower arms etc. Monarch Stags sell bits for the Stag (I am not sure if they are the same for the Mk1 Saloons) but cheap they are not. Saying that, I believe Chris Witor says the stock toe settings are fine with the lower ride height as long as the rear wheels do not exceed 2.5 degrees of negative camber (but as you may know you can get camber brackets from Chris Witor or get adjustable items from Monarch Stags. Failing that, you can redrill your existing trailing arm brackets and weld up the old holes .
