a 145 on a 5" rim? will it go?
right, i currently have 145 r10s (will check sidewall profile later) on a 10x3.5" rims, but i want some alloys for the kitten, and have some in mind (top secret), BUT these are, like most 10" alloys, 5" wide, which is just a tad to wide to get away with properly at the front (rubbing), and i already have a few 1000mile old set of falkens, so don't fancy buying a set of yokos as well!
so i would like to run:
145 r10 on a 10x5" rim up front (2 of ma existing falkens)
165 r10 on a 10x5" rim on the back (2 new tyres)
so my understanding is that a 165 is only 20mm wider than a 145, and they fit 5" rims with abit of 'chub' on the sidewalls.
anyone understand that?
sorry for the boring content!
