Hi... I finally have my dream barn find... (beauty being in the eye of the beholder etc ) Its a 2 owner from new, UK purchased, 1977 Lancer 1600GSR 'dry stored' not seen the light of day since 1990! (tax still in screen) I'm strugling to uploads pics,(no idea how) but its covered 43000 miles and the body is in beautiful condition with only a couple of pin hole rust spots on both front wing tops... I havent started recommissioning it yet but it does run sweetly with full service history, having just been serviced @ 42910miles in 1990! Its come from such a good caring home before me i really want to love and care for it... or should i do an EVO engine swap and all the extras? I guess i feel it depends on its 'value' whether i tamper with its originality or not... So over to you... All opinions welcome

open a photobucket account, once open hit the "upload" button when in pbucket from your pics stored on your computer.
once uploaded go into the pic and copy the img link then paste that in here
or email them to me and i'll put them up

Looks lovely. Value, I've no idea, but one thing I would say is leave it standard! What a shame it would be to dick around with something that original! Each to their own I suppose...... If you decide to sell as it is, drop me a PM.

nice. decent period japanese rims and some lowering would be cool.
I'd say keep it standard running gear unless your very good at conversions. done very well it would be really cool. done poorly, or just as bad, an unfinished project would be very sad and a terrible waste.

leave that exactly as it is, if your going to do anything, maybe a set of period alloys, but keep the org wheels for the day you come to get rid of it!
very cool motor in my opinion!

Very nice! Be crazy to carry out any significant mod's, it's not like you're trying to stand out from the crowd with this one as it's a pretty small crowd.

I'd say that was worth between £2500-£3000 recomissioned but it wouldn't suprise me if it struggled to get more than £1500 as they don't have much of a following, great looking car in remarkable condition though.

That's stunning! you must keep it standard, like the others have said you could upgrade the wheels to some retro alloys but keep the steels, as for value, well do a bit of detailing and take some nice photos with a good write up and i wouldn't be surprised if it made well over £2000 on ebay.

I'd say that keeping it standard will 'ensure' it maintains a good value, recommission + MOT and enjoy it.
