Evening all
About to test the water with my Golf.
It's a 1998 Avantgarde Cabrio which basically means it's one of the last Mk3's and has an 2.0 8v GTi engine, electric windows, central locking, heated mirrors, working trip computer as well as unique 15" BBS wheels. Rear tyres have hardly any wear and fronts have got 5mm left. It's been my daily since August and hasn't put a foot wrong, I swapped my Porsche 924 for it but am lusting for another RWD motor again. In the first week of my ownership I set off to Cornwall (over 400 miles) 2 days after I'd taxed it! No issues.
MOT: June '13 Tax: Dec '12 (will be retaxing soon as I'm using it!)
This year alone it has had; New Shocks and top mounts, a new exhaust system, water pump and cambelt replaced at 99989 (June)
I gave it an Oil and Filter change in November but it had a full fluid change just before I got it, so it's also brimmed with nice red anyi-freeze.
It's done over 110,000 miles but it's fully documented with a folder of history.
The roof is electric and in excellent condition, the fluid doesn't leak and I use it alot!
Interior boasts a Philips Carin Navigation stereo headunit with ipod connection!
Whilst I've had it all I've done cosmetially is fit lowered shocks and springs from a VR6 and colour code all the badges where the chrome had started to polish off. Original shocks are included with the car and are like still like new.
Body work is in very good condition, there's a patch of rust on the bottom of the drivers door and a scratch on the nearside rear quarter where I parked too close to my wheely bin!
I'd like something RWD with a smaller engine than this as I now have a shorted commute and don;t need the legs this has! So anything like a Marina, Dolomite, Toledo, Volvo 340, 316/318 E30, or at a push... an Escort? Must have 4 seats though.
And two photos since it's been lowered.
Thanks, Ryan
