The wife has the right hump with me at the moment and this car, and has given me or the Astra the marching orders.
So not trying to oversell anything the bad points first.
Radio needs the code (although I have the Hand books)
Its Pink I have polished the bumpers and the come up a treat
Missing a Hub Cap
Its been off the road for 18 months so no MOT or Tax
AND I suspect the Head gasket has gone( 1.6 8v engine), Whilst the car doesn`t appear to smoke or over heat the oil is getting Mayo on the top of the cap(not the dip stick)
Wiper blades are naff
The good bit( and yes there is some)
Two keys
The engine starts first turn of the key and purrs along, no knocks or bangs and really is smooth- all the Gears work fine as do the brakes and clutch
the body work is straight with no dings.
New Alternator and Battery.
To pass a MOT all I can see it will need is two new wiper blades, the rest seems fine. In fact if somebody wanted it with a MOT I would be happy to do so(if the buyer pays the MOT cost).
So there you go, I have highlighted the Iffy bits on it and I welcome anyone to come and view it. The scrap man will hand over £250 quid for it,so match this and its yours, Although this seems a real shame to scrap a car that with a little work could provide years worth of service to the new owner.
To answer a few question,yes it drives.the mileage is currently 97551. And if you want to haggle on the price then its not coming with a battery
