Hello Guys and Girls
I am looking at doing something different so part one of the plan will be to sell the Scim. Not an easy decision I must say as there is a lot of my blood sweat and tears in the old girl.
I have had this car since August 2007 and its always been garaged.
Its a 1974 Se5a with a full length non leaking webasto roof and sundym glass. It has a good chassis and very tidy body.
There are a few marks on the body and some small crazing and bubbling but looks very good in white with a black interior. Overall the car is very tidy and can hold its own amongst most scims.
The car has an MOT until Sept 2013 and is taxed until july 2013 and is located near Epsom in Surrey.
In the time I have owned the car I have carried out many upgrades.
NOS engine fitted approx 3500 miles ago (2 years) and run in correctly.
Steel Timing gear recently fitted.
At the same time I carried out a 5 speed conversion with a heavy duty 2.8i type 9 gearbox. This was a non exchange recon unit.
New propshaft to suit.
New clutch.
New clutch master cyl.
Speedo re-calibrated to suit.
Electronic ignition fitted.
K and N filter.
Good silicon plug leads
All decent fluids used.
New water pump.
New Radiator.
All hoses replaced some silicon.
New modified fuse box. Replacement wiring where needed.
Replacement corbeau front seats.
Replacement Battery.
Stainless tubular exhaust manifolds and system.
Compomotive minilite wheels 7x15 and new 205/55/15 Kumho tyres. (2 years old) Correct length rear studs fitted.
Spax RSX coilover adjustable shocks all round. (2years old)
Copper brake pipes replaced.
Braided flexi brake hoses.
Polybushed suspension.
Polybushed antiroll bar.
Antiroll bar drop links replaced.
New lower steering column.
New steering column bushes.
Battery Isolater fitted in the car.
New Seat Belts.
The interior is quite tidy but new carpets would make a difference and were to be next on the agenda.
I have probably missed of a few more bits that i`ve done but as you can tell I have always replaced and improved along the way to make this a good reliable useable car that you could go anywhere in.
I have the original engine and overdrive gearbox and a spare back axle along with lots of other spares all to go with the car if wanted.
I have a genuine insurance valuation of £3750 and i`m looking for £3500 ono for the car.
I have over £5000 invested in the old girl but feel the price I am asking is fair and reflects all the work carried out.
If anybody would like to see the car you can e-mail me to arrange a viewing or I can send you more pictures.
zx6dr600@blueyonder.co.uk I check my e-mails daily so can answer any questions you have.
I can also bring the car to Brooklands on New Years Day.
(I will update the advert as I remember other bits
