This is my latest project , got it other day been stud 10 years , needed new crank sensor , distributor cap and rotor arm , water pump , and a service kit . Got it running now needs exhaust and some tyres and brake pipes for Mot   It's got some nice options on it , bbs front and rear spoilers , electric front and rear seats , and sunroof guard  This is a pic of my other one as well  If any one knows where there is some spares , or a spares car let me know , I need some bits to get gold one back on road  Got it moted now and just taxed it as well , first time on road in 15 years |

Like that a lot, I know where there is one Black B reg 735i with Oxblood Leather thats been stood for years, I wish I had space, then I'd ask whether they want to sell it?

It took some right getting going , oil was like treacle , took ages to drain , I emptied tank , removed fuel pump and freed off , put fresh petrol in , fitted all new parts , attempted to start nothing , checked spark ok , checked fuel ok , I was running out of ideas then thought I'll just tap injectors with hammer , tried it and it started and settled to a eaven idle , then exhaust fell off lol . So I went for a quick spin round block , it ran well considering amount of time stud . All electrics work , including seats and head rests , all lights . Couldn't belive it . I'm lucky I got it as a few people were trying to buy it , mainly for racing and spares .

I like these. This is super high spec - there can't have been many Sevens sold with all the options this car has.
My dad had an e28 when this car was new; I remember these front and rear spoilers were displayed in the dealer's showroom on a big space age chrome stand. They were incredibly expensive. The coachline was fitted by the dealer too, IIRC - certainly lots of E23s of this age had that coachline.
I like the wheels on this - are they metrics? They're similar (albeit larger) to TRX wheels which were a cost option on the E28 528i. I imagine the tyres will be difficult to obtain now, if they are.
Good to see an E23 in fine shape.

Ye there metric wheels with 220 55 390 tyres , I'm keeping then , already started sorting some new tyres out I'm glad about that - they look great but because they're metric you see very few cars still wearing them. I have an XJ40; the early 'Teardrop' alloys use 220 65 390 tyres - rarely seen for the same reason. David |

Just a quick update , changed brakes , and 3 brake pipes today , also removed exhaust ready for new one fitting , ive changed alloys for a better set and fitted 3 newish metric tyres , next job is get it on axle stands tomorrow and under seal it

Ive fitted all new exhaust , it sounds good , but engine has a misfire , think it might have a sticking injector coz it keeps going from 5 to 6 cylinders
