The last of my Reliant V8 videos
This is the footage we shot when we had to put together a film for the TV company when we wanted to enter Thunder Races.
We went to the back roads to do the filming and came across 3 guys just waiting around for some cars as they had heard that there is often some "action" there.
The comment for me is "Look how far it is man, its like the M1" just after I had done a long rolling burnout / wheelspin.

TOP stuff...shame about the Merc-driver's taste in 'music' It's always nice to see Retro-heads fraternising with the normal, God-fearing washing machine-driving Proletariat....heh heh And that KItten is the dog's danglies. :-)

"Just a good old boys, never meaning no harm... Like all you never saw, been in trouble with the law... since the day they were born." Not implying you're deep south or nothing, but there was something very unpretentious about that. Top stuff, I want to go out for a 'bez' now... Obviously seen the car about back in the day, good to experience it from the inside. Got any of your Minor?

There used to be a Kitten in Southend in the 80's called 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' used to go like stink and pull; wheelies half way along the seafront, i loved that car, anyone else remember it?

never seen this thing moving before. really awesome! and that bit with the wanna be bad-boys is funny they are there in some posh car and you're just blast away in a mini monster you knocked up in the garage. now if that doesnt put things into perspective for me i don't know what will! now i believe i have a project to get on with...

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

I hope to make the show but my holiday dates are not quite falling correct at present. But I am working on it. If I can get 6 weeks off over summer I am Ok!
Watching that video does make me realise that I do miss my Reliant, it was so much fun. However I do think it would be quite easy to build another with a supercharged LS1 motor....... that is only a thought and doesnt mean I am building one!
