I've been trying (and failing) to find a still of the pickup from the Deathrace remake. That is one of the most perfect vehicles I've ever laid eyes on, but I'll be buggered if I can get a good still of it!

Not the big silly main truck, the little short-bed, with a chopped tail and a bullbar set into the grill. It's only in the film for a moment, but it's the only worthwhile thing in the whole affair! It's a C10 or something like that.

No, but nice try. It's black, low like a cyclone, and all-round smaller, but the butt looks like that would if you chopped almost all of the overhang off the back of it. I have a feeling that there's a small window behind the door like some of the Datsun pickups have. The bull bars aren't out in front, they're part and parcel of the grill, and it looks downright mean. It's the vehicle that the apeman spits petrol into to make his escape toward the end of the film. If the amount of fuel he spits into it is anything to go by, it does about 500mpg!

Play it on your PC, 'print screen' when you're at the best view of it, paste it into paint, and save the pic.

Was not meant to explain Hot Rod to you, what I meant more was that it was the builders "thing" there are obviously bits of Morris and Type3 sheet metal in there, but who knows ehhhh..?

I've found an older photo of it and it's definitely based on a VW (Air cooled Engine in the rear).

I love pickups!
I met a chap the other day and helped load a V8 on his trailer. If I recall correctly He had a 1955 chevy of some sort on air. Was a lovely truck.
I am keen on pick ups, but my only experience is modern crew cabs, late 90's Crew cabs (uk). Need to buy a new one, want to jack it up and take it somewhere muddy.
