Could you not have found some paint to give the sills a bit of colour.?
I do hate cars that have had new sills fitted then are painted with bitumen,a bit more time spent would improve the look, and not draw the eye to what has been carried out.

The black sills give it an authentic sort of 'just got it through the test for another year or two' 1980's vibe. Looks pretty tidy though and the two-door ones often sell for surprising sums on sklegbay, £900 doesnt seem expensive to me

I'm quite tempted by this. How long has it been in the family? Is the mileage backed up by paper work? Anyone know a good transporter firm, it's a 9hr round trip for me. ![:-X](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/lipssealed.png)

I don't think there is any paperwork to prove the mileage but if your interested you are welcome to view the car.
Sills won't need too much effort to paint but for the price you could buy a lot worse.
Please contact my Dad, Graham for more info on 01754 880434

Don't like stretched tyres, very low profile tyres & I think a car CAN be too low. Perhaps I'm odd.

In the 80's almost everything was regularly blacked around the lower edges both sills front and back valances, some were 1/3 way up the doors!
