Whole question is in the title. Which did not come out competely.
What actual date flips it each way with the new "NO-MOT" rules ?
So would it be 1st January 1960 or 31 December 1960 or even 31 December 1959 ?
Thanks.

My Transit is actually a 1962 build but 1963 registration after the coachbuilders completed it in Germany. I tried to get it registered as a Pre-'63 to get the pre-A reg plate, but no luck.

It's date of manufacture not registration date (according to special notice 5-12 anyway). This means that the rule applies about early january registations being accepted as manufactured in the previous year, and later than that with proof of age. Same situation as historic tax.

Cant wait to get my little Rhonsonette autocycle registered... 1953 ;D Gurston down and Salisbury is just up the road.... Be nice making trips that way on it And being able to just leave it unused if i feel like it... Hope not too many people flout the rules though and drive around in proper newspaper sill motors and ruin it for the rest of us...
