That is quite silly! Methinks it's a little tongue-in-cheek..... Was just flicking through some old Car & Driver mag's earlier tonight and it referred to Cressida and Buick in the same sentence, I suspect there was a deeper meaning here and it wasn't entirely flattering

Ha! Funny!
Southo who seems to be the forum owner/admin of that awesome Cressida site actually does have a Cressy with a 2JZ in it. I recognised it from his avatar.

Theres an email which often gets reposted on forums with "whats going on on the car forums" and some of them are quite funny (if American based)
Sadly theres some truth in the following...
Mopar Forum: - Chevy section: post in here why you hate Chevys and people who own them. - Ford section: post in here why you hate Fords and people who own them. - DCX Sucks Section: post in here why everything at Mopar has gone to hell - New Charger Section: keep bleating on in here about how it should have been a 2 door - Truck section: Explain in here how come you said anyone who buys a Japanese import is a Commie but you just bought a Toyota Tundra truck because the RAM sucks?
Mustang Forums: Styling - post in here about how much Autozone tat you managed to glue all over your car Bodywork - post in here how although your car is falling apart with rust you have stuck tat from Autozone all over it instead of fixing it. Performance - Type R stickers don't just work on Hondas! Add 50 BHP instantly. Also coffee can exhaust tip tricks and hints Finance - how to get more allowance out of your parents without actually having to get a job to pay for all the tat you buy from Autozone to glue on your car
Donks Form: Paranoia forum - Ever get that feeling people are laughing at your car? Altitude sickness tips section - discuss cures for nose bleeds and giddyness For Sale and Wanted - 100000 WTD ads for 70s CHevy hubs which havent had the studs pull out
Mini Forum: We hate the Bini section - 1.5 billion posts (half of which by the same person) Good Osteopths List - A cure for common Mini-driving related ailments Dwarf Contortionists List - useful people who can actually get to the fuel pump without dislocating their wrist...
US Pickup Forum: Accept the saving light of Jesus Christ into your life section. Can't decide which branch of the armed services to join section. Right to Bear Arms Section - buyers guides to popular automatic weapons, rifles and hand guns
Street Rod Forums: Glass vs Steel body debate section Pre-49 only ranting and arguing section Why we hate people who call modified 1960s cars hot rods section Lawn Chair FAQ Power Parking for beginners rat rods vs billet arguing section
I'm sure theres more I can think of.
The main AMC forum actually has a whole section devoted to "what other people think your car is when they don't realise its an AMC" For real.
Many forums, especially for muscle cars have a "street kills" section or something similar where people can brag about how their bone stock 200,000 mile Buick Regal / Olds Cutlass / Camaro 305 etc. blew the doors off a Corvette Z06, BMW M3, Cadillac CTS-V or similar, usually involving how they pulled a wheelie at the lights and did a 100 foot long rolling burnout while so doing.
