You need one like mine..... Nice big six-pot turbodiesel Nissan that sounds like a hummin' Cummins ;D and does 30mpg ;D ;D That sounds proper reet that does. Are there any suitable big yank diesels that will go in. Did dodge use a Perkins Turbo diesel unit in the Diesel Rams? GMC 6.5 V8 diesel is quite popular...needs to be on an auto box though, the torque rips RR manual boxes to shreds. Think the Ram's got a 5.9 Cummins in it...... I like having the Nissan with the overdrive......if you concentrate and use low box, high box and overdrive in/out on em all you can make 16 gearchanges between rest and 50mph.....completely pointless, but fun

A bloke I knew from the Celica GT4 club was a photographer. When he sold his GT4, he bought a rangine that had some kind of Monster Perkins Diesel shoved in. Can't remember what it was but apparently it was somwhere arround 4 litres and 6 cylinders.
I think he paid £500 with a years ticket because it was one of those odd cars that can be tricky to insure (non standard engine, different fuel from manufacture that kind of thing).

I insure mine with Richardson Hosken in Chelmsford (they advertise in most of the Cla**ic mags), fully comp with agreed value of £1400, 5k miles a yr, parked in drive, £108 a year. ;D And that's with all the non-standard bits (2" lift, big rims/tyres, uprated shocks, and the engine) declared!

Hmm, do they do unlimited mileage everyday policies too? I know this year I've only done about 3-4k, but if a serious job comes up, I could be looking at 20k a year commuting.
