For sale a BRG 1996 rover vitesse sport, good condition for age has a few bubbles on the arches nothing major. It could do with the rear pads changing which are included in the sale with a haynes manual.
I bought it because my dad had one in the same colour when I was a kid and it was a bit of an impulse buy, I don't really use it much and it seems a shame it just sitting on the drive doing nothing. (and me spending money on insurance!)
I would like £800 for it or as close to that as possible i'm losing money on what I paid but i'm realistic and want to shift it before the tax runs out.
Ive put it on here and the rover 800 forum before it goes on ebay hoping some like minded person will buy it.
so thats it, any offers will be considered just pm me.
Mileage : 113,933 MOT : July 30th 2013 Tax 31st January 2013
regards Anthony.

Very nice looking car. Hi all, New to the forum and thought Id put a few of pics of the old girl on. As the title says shes a 1996 Rover Vitesse sport so 200bhp as standard, not sure how many horses have been lost over the years but she can still lift up her skirt and run quiclky if asked! Many plans for her so will keep you updated as I go. Here she is as she stands now.

Nice motor. Always loved the 800 ever since I borrowed a mk.1 and went down to Swindon and back circa 1990. Any interest in a swap for a 1987 Sunny?

I went for a drive today in the vitesse, I'd forgotten how much I love this car! I'd only been driving ten minutes when a guy in a 2011 merc pulled up in the lane for turning right beside me. it was obvious he thought " I'll just blow this old rover away no problems"
The lights changed to green and the race was on. The merc pulled away but the turbo came to my rescue and we sailed passed him to the single lane ahead.
The look on his face was priceless! you could almost imagine what he was thinking "what just happened, I thought that was a rover?"
I could see him leaning foward trying to make out from my boot lid "just what is that thing he's driving" and that it was 15 years the mercs senior and cost 15 times less!!
Anyway with the merc man vanquished I settled back to normal driving and again she performed flawlessly, which brings me on to the reason for the post.
I've decided to keep her. I know I'd regret selling her instantly so I'm going to bite the bullet and tax her next month and I made a promise to her I will drive her more often so I never forget why I fell in love with her in the first place......

I don't blame you for keeping her. I remember borrowing my boss' Vitesse new in 1994 - 138mph on the M180 on the way back from Peterlee to Lincoln late one night, it was a fast old bus.

They are suprisingly quick for the size plus the luxury and comfort and the rarity. god knows what I was thinking!!
