Hey,
yet again, I have a car that I can't get collected. The transport firms I use are really getting more and more useless. This is a work purchase so costs will all be covered, including recovery lorry costs if necessary. I basically need a BMW 5 series estate moved from Pwllheli to somewhere close by the A5 or A55 - somewhere a 40 foot lorry can stop to load it on. Car is already paid for, and runs and drives - in fact apart from dodgy brakes it would MOT again. I paid for it in August so you can imagine there is a slight immediacy about this. If anyone even can offer temporary suitable storage, that would be a help too.
Thanks

If no one closer can help you I'm about 100 miles away from Pwllheli then I could probably help with this provided it will be towable using a solid bar. I would need the cost of diesel in an Mitsubishi L200 though so understand if you wish to wait to see if anyone closer can help.

It would be towable. Might have to take you up on that, nothing else coming up even with shiply. Where can you get it back to?

I presume you need it to get to Holyhead for the ferry?

Yeah, ferry eventually, but was going to get it trucked home. I suppose with some careful planning it could be put on the ferry and brought over and trucked from Dublin by a local recovery guy...

If it had tax and MOT I would have driven it home 5 months ago when I bought it!

Ah I can see a pottential problem here will they allow the car onto the ferry without tax or MOT I think they may not unless its on a trailer.
What does it need for an MOT you say its just poorly brakes could you not fix them where it is and then MOT and tax it before driving home?

Ah I can see a pottential problem here will they allow the car onto the ferry without tax or MOT I think they may not unless its on a trailer. Colour printer/ photocopier or set of foreign plates would solve that problem, can you honestly see them caring if its taxed or not as long as its not obviously dangerous or leaking fuel its all about how much they can charge....

No stipulation as regarding Mot or Tax when getting on a ferry M8 of mine works out of Holyhead on the ferries nad he loads the cars so he knows what he is talking about.
So what you are saying is it needs to be trailered from Pwllheli to Holyhead then...I could do that at cost
