Hi guys! Just testing the water really, my trusty 206 hdi has been awesomely reliable and a good fun car in the 14000 miles i've driven in her since april, however i always get itchy feet with cars, and i quite fancy something different...
She is a 1999 on a W reg, in firedance orange. The bodywork isn't amazing in all honesty, you won't find any corrosion anywhere! However the previous owners seemed to park by touch, with various dents and scuffs around the vehicle. However it cleans up wonderfully and still looks ok when you're driving about, it is however perfect for throwing in tesco's when you go to do the shopping!
The roof has been done in Matte black to get rid of the famous lacquer peel, looks good and hasn't been done badly at all.
Interior is very clean and unworn, seats are comfy not collapsed like peugeots normally do. They both still tilt but the slide function can be a pig, not a problem as you can manually slide them anyway!
Mechanically this car is A1, in all weather, hot or cold, it will start and drive, very little if any sooty smoke from the exhaust, burns no oil at all, and uses no water. Cambelt was done with tensioners at 94k just before i bought the car, on just under 108k now and runs superbly. Often get 60mpg on longer drives, over 50mpg around town and on a 55mpg cruise down to essex achieved nearly 70mpg, so its as economical as hell! Being the Turbo diesel, its got a bit of oomph!
MOT til august 2013 and tax til march!
It is also the 'd-turbo' model, in essence this means some 14" alloys and some better seats, but its all good!
Now I would be interested in a swap, i want a little petrol something, maybe a tidy starlet, micra 1.3 etc, must have similar mot and preferably next to rot free, no one like a rust bucket!
All i am asking is £695, this reflects the condition and allows you to go crazy tidying her up if you wanted, or you could use it, maintain it like i have and not worry too much when you go shopping!
