Hi Peeps, does anyone know owt about Alfa Romeo Q4s ? What BHP do they have, nice to drive? I'm tempted by one for a daily driver and have been offered one fairly cheaply

Aren't they just re-bodied Integrales?

Aren't they just re-bodied Integrales? Nope that was the Dedra Integrale ;D Proper sleeper that one The Alfa 155Q4 is more like the 33Q4 driveline IIRC, might be integrale gearbox though ?

I'm not sure, i think the 155Q4 is pretty close to a rebodied integrale. Its got the fiat twink in (with alfa cam covers like) from what I remember.

it has 190 BHP, the Q4 is always a turbo ... nice cars, not cheap to drive, though. I have memories from my time at the Alfa dealership... owners had to have a huge wallet... i'd prefer the V6 or the later twin spark 16V...

spot on, the Q4 is a turbo'd 2.0 lump, basicly a de-tuned integrale lump.
as for using one of these as a daily driver..................I'd be carefull.
The Q4 is a nasty beast to try & buy drivechain, suspension brake bits for. most Q4 afficionados live off broken Q4 as a spares supply, as parts are so scarce or expensive.
if its cheap - ask your self why ?
you are better off with an early 155 with the chain driven lump if you want a daily driver.
Q4 makes for a great track day weapon - but personally I wouldnt even think about having one as a daily driver.
if your serious tho, I can put you in touch with a few Q4 nuts.

Don't do it.
I thought that buying one would be a great idea, worst mistake of my life. I sold it about 8 months later after engine rebuild no.2. I reckon it cost me about £5000 for 6 months on the road.
They're not that quick, the nose it too heavy so don't handle that well, the seating position isn't great, parts cost a fortune and can be really hard to get and insurance was quite pricey if I recall correctly and they are all LHD.
Steer well clear.

I was going to post a picture up of mine. It looked pretty nice with the Integrale wheels on it but my external hard drive has shat itself, that could mean me kissing goodbye to all my pictures....
Oh no!
I wonder if its Italian?......

Sorry but I would hate to see you have the same luck as me. Think of all the other cool cars you could use the money for that actually work.
