Cheers to you both!
As for your bench problem, could you not do some inventive modifications to a workmate or similar?
I do most my cutting and welding outside on a workmate, a lightweight vice or even one you clamp on could work wonders?

If it's any consolation, I'm enjoying reading your updates. By watching other people weld up their rusty old cars I can pretend I don't actually need to weld up my own... or something >.> Neat that the cruise control module is colour coded to the Trump too.

The balljoints are scarily priced eh? It made me feel a little happier about the reintroduction of the balljoint boots. As for them being stupidly priced, blame supply and demand (I believe there are probably just over 1,000 Dolomites left on the road, most of them are Sprints (well, 360).

Could be worse on the balljoints... 57 Buick ones are worth close to $1,000.
Each.
Really great work on the car, I'm going to be following this for certain.

Cheers for the kind comments folks! I do need to do more welding but weather is hampering it slightly. Yeah the problem is also the fact that dolomites are still cheap. Mine was 100 quid, so ive already spent twice and a half what I paid just on ball joints. Now you know why people speak of the old adage of buying the best you can afford, even if it is slightly overpriced (for the right car). But this is RR and where is the fun in that? . Saying that, I'm reminded of that most time on the Stag. I must have spent into multiples of what that car originally cost me . But on an open road...

Shaping up nicely when you step back and look at it, especially as a budget project. How you guys struggle on with rotten tin, I dunno
