Right, this is a test the water type thread I am going to be repainting my car shortly, well the inside and engine bay for sure, outside will come later Its Orange at the moment.... some would say sh1t brown but hey I want to keep it close to original but would prefer something slightly more orange There is a Porsche close to me in a nice shade, but havent caught up with him yet So the task is...... what about VW tomato red - which is basically a reddish orange. or something more KTM inspired? edited to add, this bronzy orange and silver works quite well

Been getting dirty thoughts about Focus ST Orange too ;D But I want to keep it a period colour, so no metallics or pearls I`m afraid

Ford signal orange www.mark2escort.com/images/rally_05/orange-rs-2000-large.jpg I know its the enemy but its a nice colour, actually I think its the same as Porsche signal orange. Theres also VW phoenix orange which is a bit of a lighter shade but not quite as 70's as signal orange. But personally think bright in ur face yellow would look good, don't think I've ever seen a bright yellow kadett just the black/yellow 2-tone one

Can you get any more 70's than Porsche Blood orange? Or keeping it in the GM family, How's about Hugger orange?

VW Kasan Red - best described as Tomato Soup coloured (reddy orange) L30B
Colour of my first 1303S.... sorry no pics but only ran 1973-1974 so quite rare!
