Found this place has just opened near me in Suffolk. It only opened a week ago and has a massive tarmac carpark too. It's in the former Duke of Marlborough, A143 Bury Road, Hepworth, IP22 2PY. Just North of Stanton between Bury St. Edmunds and Diss. It's worth a little road trip. best call them first though as they're experimenting with opening times as they've only been open a week. 01359 252229. I would think it would be a great place to have Retro Rides meet. It even has a separate room for meetings etc. twitter.com/LollipopDiner

Have they converted the main pub or is this the bit at the back? Either way, it makes a good stopping off point in a veritable desert of eateries.... Road Trip next week, I think!

They've converted the extension at the moment, i think they are going to extend the theme into the main part soon. You're right, it does makes a change from the same old (but still nice) pubs that you can pop into for lunch around the country.

That looks pretty cool but it's a bit of a naff place to have it and get too, It would have been better of on the A140.
I'm still hoping to arrange a meet at the Orwell truck stop near Ipswich in the new year.

Well, that's close enough for I just about, if any happenings do in fact happen. Orwell truck stop would also be a right treat.
