For sale is my Boost Barge - Volvo 850 T5 CD Auto with the 7 seat conversion, I've owned it about a month and was bought from my girlfriends brother as a temporary runabout whilst I waited to get a new car.
The car has covered approx 197,000 miles (see below) but it doesn't show when driving it- it’s an amazing sleeper! Auto box shifts up and down smoothly and the sport button still works as it should and holds gears. The car has MOT until September 2013 and tax until December 2012. It has quite a bit of service history, and evidence of timing belt change with sticker in engine bay. Steering is a bit bargey, It could probably benefit from a wheel alignment.
Good points:
· Tow bar (un-used in my ownership)
· 7 Seat conversion (2 fold up seats in the boot)
· Alloy wheels
· 4 good tyres
· Air Con
· Electric seats
· Heated seats
· Black leather interior (in good condition throughout)
· 6 CD changer
· PAS
· ABS
· MOT until September
· V5 Present
· Turbo works perfectly.
· On board computer which shows range, temperature, MPG etc.
Bad points:
· Body work could do with a bit of a tidy up- there are some small scuffs and marks (as expected) and there’s a dent in the roof.
· Odometer has stopped recording miles at 192k. It'll need a new instrument cluster (£40). Mileage has been recorded by previous owners using digital counter.
· ABS light is not coming on anymore, I can only assume the ABS is non functional
- Boot tailgate struts are not strong enough to hold the boot open by itself (£20 from breakers).
- It's on budget tyres
The car is perfectly useable as a load lugger / motorway crusier. MPG is reasonable on a run, and slightly thirstier around town I normally get 25mpg on way to work, and I don't hang about
