That is superb...!!! It sounds like you've got a bit of a bargain there even if you've had to do a fair bit of fettling... A Range Rover is definitely on my 'must own' list but the prices are creeping up now so it will have to be a 'now-or-never' kind of thing... A late 2-door or early 4-door would be spot on... Thanks mate, the body is solid on it so I suppose its refreshing to be concentrating on mechanics instead of welding, or maybe not ... ;D Richard, I just registered on Lro.com, hopefully some EAS guidence will follow...

Lovely. I really miss mine, especially the sound of the V8. Its memory still lives on in my sig (I might change it one day... lol) So tempted to go and look for another one, it's probably the only car I've ever got rid of that I actually miss...

The sound of the V8 is awsome, its even better if it has a slight misfire and you disconnect the maf so it starts poping and shooting flames out of the exhaust when revving it! The good news is the EAS has been saved, fitted new front airbags fired it up and almost straight away it sat up and levelled itself that was absolutely awesome to see for the first time, here is a pic of it set to off road :-)

They really are a grand old tool! I've been offered 2 or 3 over here, but parts availability is a nightmare compared to the UK.
Still miss mine though.

The air suspension is so impressive everyone who has seen it working are like "how old is this car?" :-) It rides nice too, as good as a modern car anyway. I discovered the age old leaking battery on the seat ecu so it must be why I have no adjust on the drivers seat or the mirrors. I replaced the passenger side window channel, only for the drivers side to break the same day... replaced the door speakers with some cheap co-axial jobs and even the sub works in the boot. I can't put it off any longer though I need to take the scuttle panel off and fix the wiper mechanism.

I'm still working on the old girl and funds are tight which makes it a slow process if you want to do things properly. Anyway I bought it a present this week in the shape of some retro lights and side steps... I'm also in the process of tackling the unenvious task of protecting the underside from the dreaded stuff this is a sort of "Before" shot... more to come :-)
