EXTERIOR
The exterior of this 240 is fantastic. Finished in Light Blue Metallic, (Code 404), a colour specified as an optional extra. A minor crack in the passenger mirror can just be seen. Original Volvo Dealer number plates are still fitted. A beautiful car that defined Volvo’s reputation for build quality, a real time warp example.

The front seats are heated, a standard feature on the 240 and are in perfect working order. The carpets have been preserved by Dealer fit Volvo rubber tray mats in the front and rear, thus remain in excellent order, free from wear. The head lining is tight and free from marks and discolouration. Interior and glovebox courtesy lighting is in working order. All switchgear is intact and operates the interior controls as they should. The optional radio is original Volvo equipment and provides clear sound through the standard dealer fit speakers. A full tool kit and supplying Dealer key fobs still present. An impeccable and functional 240 interior promoting a pleasant and safe driving environment.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The innovative and new for 1987 2.3 litre naturally aspirated 4 cylinder engine performs faultlessly, providing effortless and whisper quiet performance. This cleaner engine features Exhaust Gas Recirculation and Pulsair emission control allowing unleaded fuel to be used. The car starts immediately on the manual choke and pulls well through the smooth and tight 5 speed gearbox. The incredible service history of this car is evident in its performance, having been serviced every 6 months from new by Volvo main dealers regardless of mileage. Amazing.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The original 14” steel wheels have genuine Volvo trim covers and are shod in Michelin MX 175 R14 rear tyres and new fronts ready to complete many more miles of safe motoring. Triangle split, dual-circuit brake system and stepped bore master cylinder accompanies power assisted disc brakes all round, bringing the car to a straight and steady halt. An additional high level rear brake light accompanies the comprehensive braking system you would expect from Volvo.
