Hello all.
Car is question is a mk1 Eunos Roadster 1.6
Been driving around for a while now, loving the go-kart experience (compared to the Merc anyway!)
I have a squeak coming from the back of the car, but only if I'm turn/steer left. Had the rear brakes off, all free and working as they should. Any ideas? Diff?
Another one, looking at a SS exhaust for the old girl, as the one on the car is somewhat tired. What's the deal on decatting? Can I get away with that with it being a '90 car? Not sure how many lambdas it has (only second car I've owned with a cat fitted, Merc is full stainless without cat, so excuse my ignorance!)
Thanks all!

Not sure about the squeak, but you are 100% fine decatting the car, both for MOT and engine management wise (they only have a pre cat lambda).
I've got a stainless steel MX5 parts silenced decat for sale if you're interested, and a HKS Super Drager full stainless exhaust. £150 for the lot posted.

Cheers Cobblers. Is that manlifold back? Cash is a bit short at the moment, it's mostly been converted into road tax and fuel :-) possibly next month? How loud is it?
Squeak sounds like a brake one btw in case that helps?

Tell me about it - I'm skint too that's why it's for sale! Make me an offer if you want?
It's from the downpipe back. Being HKS it's not "quiet" but it's a properly designed exhaust so it sounds nice and doesn't have any annoying drones like custom or cheapie exhausts. My mum drove round with it on her car for a year without complaining and she's not a petrolhead by any stretch of the imagination.
Sticky rear calipers are common on these, as are badly adjusted handbrake mechanisms - give it a run from cold for a mile or two without touching the brakes much, then check see if one side is hotter than the other - do both the wheels spin free? do they still spin free after you've worked the brake pedal a few times?

Just had a word with my gf. Not allowed as it doesn't need it. So sadly no sale.
I'll whip the rear callipers off again then to see if all is well.
How quick do these normally warm up btw? This one seems to take ages going by the gauge.

yeah, mine warms up very quickly.
There are a LOT of bushes in the rear of a 5, will be worth checking them.

Worth replacing the stat then? I'll have a good look at the bushes when I have her up in the air.
