In Aus the Telstar really came in to replace the aging Cortina. It is seen as a totally undesirable humdrum method of transport, but in its day it was exactly what the average Aussie needed. They were pretty much just a poorly built 626 though imo. lol However we did later get the Telstar TX5, which was a kind of luxury performance jobbie. The Ford Laser (Mazda 323) TX3 was a stormer though. Turbo 4wd -  A scan is nowhere as nice as the real thing. Does anyone have any C110 and earlier Skyline stuff they want to sell me? |

Great stuff Mssrs. S.L & Hirst....Would love to get in on this action, but I don't have a scanner & I've just disposed of all my brochures! ;D This....  ....I don't like....A REALLY bad re-styling of a nice looking car IMO!  This However....  ....Is truly beautiful....  |

Look at those radios!! Cool, why didn't we get them? The radios are a great thing to see, a lot of double-deck stuff and there's usually a version with a microphone in case you need to do a bit of dictation while stuck in a jam. There's a fantastic one in the Celeste brochure, try to get a few more scanned in later this week. Nice to see that UK Telstar Zeus! Looks like Ford wheels on it? There's a Laser (aka 323) with what looks like XR3 wheels on it too, did these rebadged ones get different PCD? Baz, I agree Telstar nose does rather ruin the 626, think there's at least one other version of it. Rather envious of your Starlet brochures Snoozin! I always try to get a few on models I've had but they have eluded me so far. |
