1999 Alfa Romeo 156 V6
Mot Exp: December 2013
Tax Exp: March 2013
132K Miles
I bought this Alfa a few months ago to go on a Road Trip to the Isle Of Mull Rally. I fixed the car up and drove the 1300 mile trip and on the way the car didn’t develop a single fault, outshining a BMW a Mazda and a Volvo on the reliability. Since I’ve owned the car I’ve fitted:
New brake pads (front)
New brake flexi hoses
New NSF wishbone
Oil and filter change
Super Sprint Stainless backbox
Re-gassed Air Con
NSR ABS Sensor
The car has 4 good tyres (Michelins and Goodyears) and it runs and drivers very well. The V6 engine pulls fantastically and sounds absolutely gorgeous with the airfilter and exhaust combo as does the stereo system as it has the full 8 Speaker BOSE system. It is also surprisingly good on fuel as I was getting 30mpg on the Motorway.
The car is in a quite rare White colour and the cloth interior fitted is also a rare item (so I’m led to believe) and the front seats are lovely and supportive.
The bodywork is the worst part of the car as the lacquer is peeling in some places and there are some dents and a bit of rust is starting to show (will add pics), I can’t imagine that a decent bodyshop would have any problem is sorting these bits out of they bother you that much though.
I would like to keep the car but I could really do with a diesel for a daily so it has to go. I’m asking £800 for this but I am open to a Part-Ex for an Audi A4 TDi or similar.
