This has been my daily driver for a while but a build up of minor faults that I don't have the time to address has led me to buying a replacement so it needs to go.
1995 N reg, one of the last of the W124 series, 123k miles in silver with grey cloth interior. being the E200 its povo spec, leccy front windows and mirrors and thats about it for toys
Will get the bad stuff out the way first:
1) indicators work intermittently
2) windscreen wipers work intermittently
3) stalls on start up unless you keep the revs up for the first 30 secs or so
4) exhaust back box has snapped off
5) central locking locks its self again after about five seconds
6) bit of rot coming through on front edge of one front wing
7) all the bumper corners 'grazed'
8) no service history
9) no tax
10) heater fan has given up
The good bits though:
1) despite all of the above has never let me down, always got me home!
2) lowish miles for year
3) MOT till Feb 13
4) despite being grubby the interior is in good shape, the drivers seat bolsters not worn like most
5) lovely comfy ride and loads of space with seats down
6) 'soft close' tailgate still works!
7) pretty good on fuel for a 2.0 auto (better than my auto mk3 golf was)
8) tow bar with twin electrics
9) decent tyres
10) roller load cover still working
Been offered 175 quid for it scrap but would rather some with the right skills, especially electrics, could take it on as its too good for that, so offering it on here for a week before it has to go.
