Ciao Boys....
I have a friend who just traded an old Volvo 240 for a 1961 Vauxhall F Victor and now he need some parts for it. Here in Sweden there are not alot of stuff around for them so he would like to know if there are parts from other cars that would fit it, what he needs is:
Rear brake cylinders
Brake pads front & rear
Brake fitting kit
Speedometer cable

These cars are really hard work. A chap I knew ran a classic vauxhall spares business back in the 90s and he had one as a project, and sold it unfinished because he couldn;t get the parts he needed for it... However... try emailing Simon Bower - Simon@sbvs.co.uk - nice guy has helped me out in the past phone Carpenter's Vauxhall +44 1205 270502 search eBay for a seller called onthecut, he's the guy who ran Obsolete Vauxhall Parts in Birmingham, seems to have closed his "shop" and now just sells via eBay. If you email him with requiests he will sort you out if he has it. www.vauxhallheritage.com/ Vauxhall's own obsolete parts service. Other than that, eBay, a beggig letter to the owners club, etc. |

There was a firm profiled in last months C&SC that specialise in sleeving old brake cylinders and have a lot of old stock too. Might be worth a call: Past PartsCould be there's someone in Sweden that does it too of you can't get replacements? For a speedo cable I'd have thought Speedy Cables could make a new one and might have a pattern/drawing to work from. Speedy Cables |

for cables, I have heard muych better reports of Speedograph in terms of cost and actually deliverijng to agreed time. They can make anything up. www.speedograph-richfield.com/ |

He oredred brake parts from Past Parts, a speedo cable from Speedograph and now he's waiting for the stuff to land so he can get it back on the road....
