Help with beetle re-spray colour....

To get something similar you're looking at an 'aftermarket' paint... House of Kolor being your best bet, do a web search for the UK dealers, there aren't many and it'll cost you. I know of one in the south west I could recommend if you get stuck.

Alternatively, try your local paint supplier and see if they'll modify something stock, if I remember rightly Nissan did some pretty good greens like that

Sneaky suspicion thats a custom paint as has been said. Possibly HOK Organic Green over a bright silver base. But thats only my guess...

Colours on a monitor or magazine page also don't always look the same in real life. Best to pick a colour off a car you see running around and trcking down what it is.

A colour quyite similar to that is Honda Irish Green which was used on the CRX / Del Sol. It has a second name as well so it may have been called something else in the UK market, I can't recall.

At a main dealer you don;t even get 10 hours labour for £600 now...

respray costs are all down to how much work is involved. If its a couple of hours then £600 is expensive. Depends is the scooter already stripped so all they have to do is prep and shoot, or are they stripping te thing right down and carefully painting it and reassembling... I would have thought you'd only use a litre of paint tops on a scooter so unless it jumps by a factor of ten in price... But then paint can cost anything from £10 a litre to £800 a litre and possibly more!

Thanks for the input guys been told from elsewhere about the similar nissan micra colour will have to chase that up... what I did with my spitfire re-spray was go down a couple of car showrooms and see colours on cars that I liked then just got the code but this colour isn't as 'normal' so I'll have to work with my sprayer to get right colour I guess.

Cool mate what shade did you go with if you don't mind me asking, there's a green on mg zr's which i quite like i might go for that...
