Will be selling my mx5 (eunos import) to raise funds for something else. Not the best time of year(!) but there you go.
I picked this up in June and its been great since.
Passed MOT today (after initial fails on on split dust boots, a leaky shocker and fog light not working). Has advisories on missing /split dust covers on rear shocks and fuel lines corroded a bit.
Best thing about the car is that the bodywork/sills/arches are in very good condition. It is not a rot box!
Engine runs fine - clutch rides a bit high but I have no idea if that is normal for these cars and there are no clutch or gearbox issues. Usual eunos extras.Since I have had it I have:
Changed the cambelt and tensioner
Fitted new thermoswitch for the fan
Replacement (used) front NS shock and spring
New Battery fitted (correct gel cell type)
Fitted windbreak (wrong colour but it was located nearby!)
plus MOT work noted above.
PO also seems to have fitted recently a pair of new brake calipers (front) and new radiator.
Tyres are OK - bit tired, Hood is OK - again bit tired. Some touched in stone chips on bonnet and a little bit of bubbling around the wing indicator (but far from obvious). Very small dent on the OS wing. 'Bout it really.Drives fine and ultra reliable.
