1996 (P) Honda Civic 1.4i 3 door hatchback, I believe it's called the "EJ9". 153700 miles approx, MOT til Sept 2013, Tax is til end of Feb 2013, if you're quick that is, I should really be sending it off as it's not insured anymore.
The car is in Walsall Wood, West Midlands, WS9

This is a very reluctant sale of my Girlfriends Honda Civic, we only need one car, but this can't tow our caravan! That's the only reason it's for sale!
It's a 3 owner car, first owner 3 years, the second for 10, then us since 2009. It has full Honda Service history until approx 122,000 miles, We got the car at 128,000 miles and since then i've been doing the oil changes my self every 6000 miles with friendly mechanic keeping a watchful eye on everything else, I figured a nice stamped service book wouldn't effect the re-sale on a 16 year old Civic much! It has a foam ITG air filter which i've cleaned not very long back. The cambelt was done at 120,000 miles, they're a 60,000 mile belt so due again at approx 180k
In the time we've had it we've had, full set of 4 Barum tyres (decent mid range tyre) which are all still very very good!
New brake pads front, and near side caliper when that stuck a couple of months back
Back box a couple of years ago
For the last MOT she had a rear brake pipe and flexi, this was the first MOT it failed since we had it.
The MPG for us has always been a consistent 45-47mpg although we never sit in rush hour traffic that's mixed driving, higher if it's just long distance stuff 53+!
A few bad points I need to mention
Some would consider the mileage a little high, but it really does run and drive nice and pulls good for a 1400cc
Gearbox, personally I thought it's been noisy in 1st and 2nd since we've had it. I've asked around and it seems pretty common! It's not got any louder in the 25,000 miles we've done in it! It changes smooth without problem, no jumping out of gear.
The exhaust heat shield fell at the front, so I clamped it back on with mud guard clamps, figuring they'd fall straight back off again, they didnt, BUT it does mean at certain revs you hear it vibrate.
Few parking dings due to the relatively thin Honda metal! Some rust too, nothing tragic, but see pics.
Sorry the pics are a little rough, she needs a GOOD clean which I will try my best to do before sale. But these pics are fresh today. Those marks on the drivers side i've only just seen, they appear to be my bad polishing skills from last time
Plastic headlights gone a little cloudy
Various stone chips up front, pics make it look worse than it is as it's been front end in a bush all night
Radio NOT included.
As for spec it's pretty decent for a little hatch, Honda Alloy wheels, Driver and passenger air bags, leccy windows front, central locking that WAS remote until the remote broke, it is included but needs a solder to fix. Leccy tilt and slide sunroof, all working! Power steering nice and smooth! Headlight levellers all working also! Comes with two keys as I had to get a spare cut and programmed.
She shines up lovely though for an old bird!
Primarily NO SWAPS, although 1100cc Mk2 Fiesta's talk
£550. You KNOW these cars have tons of potential!
If I could put it on a classic insurance policy, i'd keep the darn thing!
THE rust!
O/S Rear arch, the yellow is reflection of my hi-viz vest
N/S rear under petrol cap
