Hi helpfull peoples, does anyone know the wheel types for the above mentioned beast? Doeas anyone have any more modded pics other than this barry wagon? I'm thinking about purchasing a Diseasel Estate as a daily/parts lugger should I yay or nay? I used to always buy citroen as i found the build quality fantastic and they could really fly! (ZX Volcane with a Garret turbo b4 my retro rides days!)

LOL! I see your game! I think one would make an excellent purchase.... so long as it doesn't break. ;D That said, yer man Ransome is 'teh schizz' when it comes to Citroens, so it won't cost a fortune even if when you d break it

xm estate ftw. I loved mine and still miss it every day. early ones more fragile than "phase 2" cars. Diesel carries price premium. Bin the standard steels (or wussy alloys) and fit a nice set of 16's. Anything bigger looks wrong imho, it's not a sports car, it just needs to look smart>

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Can't really help much but I love 'em! There's one two doors from my office, owned by a retired dentist, with the number plate "FOO 5" (posted on autoshite by SpottedLaurel a while back)... Seeing it every day makes me want one too... So to sum up: DO IT

I drove one, it was an ace experiance, but I didn't buy it. All that clicking and hissing scared me.

It is a typical big Citroen. Desirable yet cursed by niggly problems and expensive repair bills when they go wrong.
But you'll struggle to find a bigger load lugger this side of a van and hydro Citroens are just cool! Do your research and go for it!

CX's are nicer, look nicer and are more rust, electrical and headache inducing too.

Like a good friend of mine once said; "It would've been the best car in the world if it was Japanese."

they're really not a bad car, unless you have to work on it. make sure the heater matrix is ok, thats a 14 hour job to change!!!! I know 'cos I've done one before. converted a 2.0 auto petrol to diesel manual too. IIRC parking brakes are abstards, and the front to back hydro lines can snap/rot. practically worthless as well; ideal from a buyers point of veiw
