Careful on the camera phone front. If it goes as far as court I seem to recall that cameraphone images can be inadmissable. May be changed days now mind you... Nah, always better to have some pics than to not have them. Someone stuffed into the back of me a couple of weekends ago and I grabbed loads of photos of the scene and the vehicles on my phone. The insurance company asked if I had photos a few days later, I sent them on and three hours later the other insurance company had dropped their claims for shared liability. |

Hold on you have a witness to this in the buildings manager right? Ring your insurance co. give them the details along with the witnesses details and let them sort it out from the other persons ins. co.

I love these threads for the inevitably 100% hearsay ‘internet legal advice’ they always generate. I would say put it down to experience. Next time it happens maybe take a photo so you can confront the dude with a bit of evidence if you want. As it is you have got no real evidence that he’s to blame, the guy is not admitting anything to do with it, he probably didn’t even know he’d done it. It all just sounds like a road to nowhere. Cars get scratched in carparks every day, thats just life unfortunately.
