I see the Sun newspaper is giving away lego toys next week. www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/affiliates/lego/I think the Monster fighters Zombie toy has a nice raked stance, 34 ford grill shell. Heres a real 34 Ford, so you can compare. I'm pretty sure its not on a cut out the coupon and collect offer tho.

Normally with these offers you can send away and buy the whole lot, I did this for a promotion in the Mirror, otherwise you have to rely on going to a W H Smith's or similar. Anyway a Lego Hot Rod I built years ago... and a comparison with an official Lego Hot Rod

Awesome! I work in Smiths so I guess it's going to be another week of Lego based abuse when we run out of the kits, that's what happened last time!

There are some excellent builds in here, lol. My li'l un has a Lego hotrod. He was well proud of it, it's the first Lego thing he built properly on his own, apart from random stuff that could be anything. He was only four, so just following the instrustions was a major achievement even if it's not strictly a custom 'rod as a result lol Styracosaurus pictured for scale purposes, not actual size, lol ;D nice attention to detail, arguably the flame-job is a little played out but then how would people know it's a hotrod if it ain't got flames? rear lights ought really to be stalked or oval but we'll let Lego off, I guess their design parameters are even more stringent than the SVA Arty retouched one! And this is the kit number if anyone's interested;

Good effort, those small Racers sets are good fun and can be adapted to good effect. I've posted this before, a slightly adapted version; american_graffiti by Country Photo (UK), on Flickr

The Impala is a bit bigger scale, which is easier in some ways, but still impressive to capture the shape in bricks. Not built be me, I hasten to add. lots of good ones here: flickrhivemind.net/Tags/lego,ratrod/Interesting
