For sale here is my 106 Quicksilver.
I bought it as a stop gap when my Mondeo developed a heavy smoking habit earlier in the summer, to see me over whilst I got it fixed. Now that is well on it's way it's time to sell the 106.
It's a high miler with 147k on the clock, 6k of which I have put on it in the past 10-12 weeks running up to London and back throughout the summer. It runs as sweet as a nut - better than any I have been in previously!
It has the GTI body kit, as fitted as standard to all Quicksilver models and factory alloy wheels. It is a 1.4 8v set up, and is actually quite a spritely drive!
It is equipped with electric front windows, opening rear quarter lights, sunroof, and an aftermarket JVC CD player, along with all the Quicksilver branded upholstery in really good condition. Tyres and brakes are good, as is clutch. Alloys are almost unmarked.
It it in quite frankly excellent condition for this type of car, and is standard apart from some tinted rear quarter windows. Time has come to move it on for someone else to enjoy! It has MOT to March 2012, and Tax until the end of next month. It has a pile of receipts with it, which I haven't really looked through, but it did have a head gasket and cam belt at about 125k, and had a replacement exhaust and ECU shortly before I bought it.
I know of only a couple of minor issues: It only has one key, the central locking doesn't work (but all locks work fine), and the rear heated screen isn't working. The only notable issue on bodywork is the flaking pain on the wing mirrors, which I think were painted by the previous owner.
